What to Expect:
Throughout the weekend, you will work with Scott Purdum in both group and semi private sessions focusing on seat stabilization, stability of mind, and unlocking your horse’s potential. In the morning, the group session will be going over the three main components of riding:
Seat Stabilization- How to effectively utilize your body to not only feel more stable in the saddle, but will help you become a more effective rider and elevate your communication with your horse.
Stability of Mind and Body- The #1 thing that both horse and rider need is balance. This needs to be in all aspects of riding, making sure both you and your horse are in the right frame of mind for a successful ride, and making sure areas such as fear, anxiety, anger and frustration are not holding either of you back. Balance also is physical, whereas if either one of you are out of balance there is no way that the horse can perform at their top.
Unlock your Horse’s Potential- By learning better ways to balance your horse, becoming and more effective rider, you will start unlocking the doors to creating engagement, impulsion, collection, and even more fluidity in maneuvers.
Following the group session, you will have a semi-private session (times will be provided by Advantage Horsemanship) scheduled with Scott to focus on those 3 main components to further enhance the line of communication with your horse. Through seat stabilization and opening the communication line, riders will start to see a difference right away. You will learn to feel and push your horse in a positive way. Throughout the weekend, you will see each session building off the last leading to a true connection under saddle. You will immediately feel the sense of when true connection is accomplished as each move you feel a sense of elegance.
